JustinGuitar Guitar Tutorial Site

One of the reasons I picked up a guitar was because of Justin. Ever since I played Guitar Hero, I wanted to jam with a real guitar, but I had no idea how I would start. Tutors and books are expensive, and that’s not even counting the cost of a guitar! I happened upon one of Justin’s YouTube videos, and he explained everything so simply! I clicked around, and found his Beginner’s Course. Most of his lessons have a video accompaniment that break things down real easily.
Thanks to the beauty of the internet, all you really need is a guitar (plus a tuner!) and a computer to learn how to play. It might take some professional guidance to become the next Joe Satriani, but the internet gives you a great head-start.

FYI, I’ve heard there are many websites that will emit tones for you to tune your guitar. Tuners are so cheap that it’s almost not necessary (what’s a $8 tuner when you bought a $100+ guitar) but it’s neat to know that all you really need is a guitar and a net connection.
My dad tutored me while learning, so I always had someone that could answer specific questions or show me different ways to play the same thing. Where do you go on the net when you have a specific question or problem? A forum, I suppose?
Those websites that emit tones aren’t really useful to the untrained ear, but they are handy if you know what you’re doing.
I just remember to ask somebody who plays guitar the next time I have a guitar question. If you search diligently enough, you’ll probably find an answer somewhere on the internet, though.
