“Where did ‘Mintz’ come from?”

It’s a boring story. Back when I lived in Washington state, a friend was introducing me to somebody. This person misheard my name, leaned forward, and asked, “Whaat? ‘Mints’?” I told him he was an idiot, corrected him, then went about my day as usual. I happened to create an email account that day, and I used the username “Mintz.” I haven’t found a reason to change it yet.
